Phil Husband, Clare's dad, is the resident builder, fixer, yard man, and the faithful go-to guy at Fern Top. From chopping wood, cutting grass, clearing fence rows and lending a spirit of security around the farm, he has put the word "handy" in handyman.

 

Elaine Husband, Clare’s mom, is a wife, mother, grandmother, artist and writer. She delights in helping with all artistic endeavors at Fern Top, waving and smiling at the students, and doing art with small groups. Most often you'll see her with her ever-ready broom, bringing some order to all the fun.
