You will receive a pre-camp screening questionnaire that must be completed prior to coming to camp. It will ask if the camper has had a fever, cough, or shortness of breath in the last 2 weeks, or has anyone in the family knowingly been exposed to someone with COVID-19. If you answer yes to any of these questions, your camper should NOT report to camp, and should instead contact your health provider.

Daily Health Screening

Each morning parents and staff will be asked if camper/staff or anyone in their household is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. If yes, camper/staff will be sent home.

Daily Temperature Check

Each day, you will be required to take your child’s temperature at home before camp and sign a form stating that you did so. Campers or staff with body temps of 100.4 or greater or who have flu- like symptoms (e.g., cough, body aches) will not be allowed to stay at camp.

Outdoors at All Times

We will remain outdoors at all times except for bathroom breaks (2 children with one teacher). In the event of a thunderstorm, we will be in the classroom with a cloth face-covering.

Face Coverings

Parents are asked to pack a cloth face covering  in a sealed bag or container for times that physical distancing is challenging. Staff will also have a face mask for such times. These masks will be kept in the child’s backpack and will only be used if we have to be inside the classroom for thunderstorms. We will make it fun, don't worry!

We will sanitize shared resources after each use (such as markers, paintbrushes, instruments).

We have added outdoor hand-washing stations and will have hand-washing breaks throughout the day. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer will also be used when necessary.

Parents will be asked to pack 1 snack and lunch each day for their child. We will not be preparing food.

$50 of camp cost is considered a registration fee and is non- refundable.

Until 14 days before camp, a camp reservation may be cancelled by sending an email and 50% of balance after registration fee will be refunded.

Beginning 14 days before camp begins, payments may be transferred to a future camp if available. Otherwise, cancellations will result in payment being forfeited.

If the Pre-Camp screening questionnaire or daily health screening preclude your child from attending, you will receive a 50% refund per day missed, less the registration fee. There is no refund for missed days due to any other conflict or reason.
If Ferntop has to cancel all or part of your session due to COVID-19 safety concerns or state restrictions, we will offer a refund for affected days, minus the $50 registration fee.

Should Ferntop have to cancel or reschedule camp due to other unforeseen circumstances, reservations will be transferred to a future camp or tuition at no cost to the attendees. If the event can not be rescheduled, we will offer a refund for affected days, minus the $50 registration fee.
