WonderRoots Goes Mad For Science

A wonder-filled camp exploring Latin word roots and their natural connections. 

Join WonderRoots on a whirlwind outdoor tour of science (Latin for knowing) with Latin and Greek roots! Come learn about anatomy as we dissect flowers, biology as we classify common plants and animals,  thermodynamics as we make homemade ice cream, and simple machines as we incorporate natural materials into our own Rube Goldberg contraptions, slingshot water balloons, and more.  Throughout our journey, we’ll discover the hidden word roots scientists use to make science make sense.  Each day will begin with a scripture relating to nature, wonder, or discovery, a brief bio of a scientist, and - of course - some word roots that help reveal that day’s science adventure!
