Camouflage Camp

(ages 3-8 yrs.)

Many animals and insects live at Ferntop; each one with their own special way to survive. Step into a week of color, patterns and shapes we explore creatures and the unique designs that conceal them. Learning all about disguises such as matching color, disruptive coloration, countershading, masking, protective mimicry and warning coloration.  Campers will delve into camouflage through games, activities and play.

Some of the activities of the week:

• playing animal hide and seek and creature scavenger hunt.
• bringing your favorite animal stuffy to school for disguise adventures.
• learning animal forms such as fox feet, fawn sleep, and rabbit freeze.
• creating camouflage critters.
• making stick puppets and participating in a puppet show starring Marsha Mouse & Sammy Skunk
